Frequently Asked Questions

If you have no First Aid qualifications and need an introduction to First Aid, or if you need complete an annual refresher for the Emergency First Aid at Work course, or if you work in a low-hazard workplace, for example, office, shops, library, etc.

Even though it is not a legal requirement to have a fully trained First Aider, a person should be appointed to take charge of the first-aid arrangements.  Depending on the workplace, a risk assessment should be conducted to determine the likelihood of First-Aid emergencies. For high-risk environments, it is recommended to have 1 First Aider for every 50 employees. If there is a change in ergonomics, the risk assessment should be updated.

If you work in a low-hazard workplace (office, shops, library) with under 25 employees then this is the right course for you.

Since emergencies are unpredictable, having an accessible & fully stocked First-Aid kit on any work site is crucial. An appointed person responsible for taking charge of First-Aid arrangements would also be needed.

There are no pre-course requirements.
