Legal Requirements: Working at Height Regulations
When working at height, there are two key pieces of UK legislation you must follow:
Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
This law places a general duty on employers and anyone responsible for a workplace to ensure it is safe. This includes maintaining equipment properly, providing a stable working surface, ensuring secure access, and giving clear instructions for all tasks carried out at height.
Work at Height Regulations 2005
These regulations focus specifically on preventing falls from height. They require all work at height to be properly planned and supervised, with the right equipment in place. Everyone involved must understand the risks and how to control them effectively.
🎯 Completing this training helps you meet your legal obligations under both the 1974 Act and the 2005 Regulations while promoting a safer working environment for everyone.
