This refresher course must be completed every five years to maintain certification and stay updated on the latest health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.

Entry Requirements: SMSTS Refresher Course in Leyland
- To enrol in the SMSTS Refresher course, candidates must be competent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A valid SMSTS certificate issued in the past five years is required, and this course must be taken before your certificate expires.
- You will also need to bring valid ID, such as a passport or driving licence, on day one.
Assessment & Certification
The SMSTS Refresher course assessment is a 35-minute exam with 25 questions divided into two parts. Part A has 18 multiple-choice questions worth 1 mark each, and Part B includes 7 written questions, each worth 2 marks. You may use your course books and notes in the last 15 minutes.
You need a minimum of 26 out of 32 marks (81%) to pass.

Upon completing the SMSTS Refresher course, candidates will receive a CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) digital certificate within 2-3 weeks.
