To attend the SMSTS Refresher, you need to have a valid SMSTS certificate that has not yet expired. If your certificate is no longer valid, you will have to retake the full five-day course.

Entry Requirements: SMSTS Refresher Course in Milton Keynes

  • To enrol in the SMSTS Refresher course, candidates must be competent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • A valid SMSTS certificate issued in the past five years is required, and this course must be taken before your certificate expires.
  • You will also need to bring valid ID, such as a passport or driving licence, on day one.

Assessment & Certification

The SMSTS Refresher course assessment is a 35-minute exam with 25 questions divided into two parts. Part A has 18 multiple-choice questions worth 1 mark each, and Part B includes 7 written questions, each worth 2 marks. You may use your course books and notes in the last 15 minutes.

 You need a minimum of 26 out of 32 marks (81%) to pass.
