The course lasts for six days and includes both classroom-based learning and hands-on practical training.
You’ll complete four multiple-choice exams (one for each unit) along with a practical assessment during the Physical Intervention section. Your instructor will support you throughout.
You must be at least 18 years old, have the legal right to work in the UK, and be able to read, write, and speak English confidently. You’ll also need a valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate — we offer course packages that include this if you don’t already have one.
Certificates are usually issued within 10 to 12 working days after you complete the course successfully.
The course typically costs around £199.99, which covers your training, assessments, study materials, and certification. Prices may vary slightly depending on the package you choose.
Once you receive your certificate, you can apply online via the SIA website. It usually takes around 2–3 weeks for your licence to be processed. We’ll guide you through the steps after the course.
