The First Aid at Work Requalification course is a two-day first aid refresher course aimed at those who need to renew an existing First Aid at Work certificate.
If your current certificate has expired by more than 28 days, you should attend the First Aid at Work (3-day course).
If you current hold an Ofqual regulated certificate, you should attend the First Aid at Work for Instructors Course.
The First Aid at Work Certificate is valid for three years from the date of completion. After which, students will need to attend the First Aid at Work renewal, commonly referred to as the 2-day first aid refresher course or First Aid at Work Requalification.
The key thing to keep in mind is that the First Aider's certificate will expire, at which time he or she will no longer be qualified to function as a First Aider in the workplace, potentially leaving the employer short on First Aiders. As a result, it would be wise to have their First Aid at Work Requalification carried out before their certificate expires.
On the First Aid at Work Requalification training course, you will cover a range of topics, including:
You can view the complete course content on this page below.

Once you have successfully completed the first aid requalification course, you will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate & Photo ID Card, which is valid for three years.
I recently attended and completed the DS physical intervention and EFAW course over 2 days as part of the new Sia top up renewal requirement since April 2021. I would say Huraks online presence and presentation of the course was very good. 8 out of 10. Only thing to note re that though is, be sure to copy and paste the link you’re given, into google chrome, since privacy setting restrictions may affect how the videos play when it comes to doing or accessing the online portion of the course. The Venue where the training was held in Cross Harbour, was clean, tidy and easy to get to but could have done with being, just a little cooler in temperature. There were no refreshments offered on any of the days just tea bags and powdered milk which was not great. In that instance, even just £5 worth of fruits and a 4 pint semi skimmed milk with a pack of brown sugar and a few packs of croissants would had been appreciated as a way to say thank you for the £189.99 price paid. 6.5 out of 10. The Tutor delivering the course was good for the most part, just spoke a little fast at times but knew the required content well. 8/10. I wasn’t overly impressed by the physical intervention segment however as I felt it did not address entirely the way to exit from a situation if attacked by a patron, who may then try to immediately follow up on their initial assault, or who has a group of their friends waiting to jump in on their behalf to help them. I felt those scenarios weren’t explored and are certainly situations I have had to contend with. Maybe a tutor who understood those situations more deeply could have delivered that segment better. 5/10. Overall however I would say Hurak is an ok / good provider but just needs to implement a few minor improvements to make themselves even better. Overall 7/10.
My experience at Ayotte Recruitment and Training Academy was first class. Three weeks ago, I attended the First Aid and Level 2 Door Supervisor SIA course, and my instructor Peter was very knowledgeable and thorough with his teaching. I learn a lot from him and his staff. Peter and his staff provided the group with some valuable insight into the security industry.
I just completed the First Aid at Work refresher course and I'm glad it went efficiently and in a friendly way. Thanks

My experience was great. I got detailed explanations of the course i did and it helped me pass my exam first time I will recommend it for other individuals looking to take a course
Worst ever training experience from Hurak Learning. I have worked in the Security industry for 2 decades (22 years). This Hurak Learning made me fail 3 times and, (later I went to another institute and passed the exams on the first attempt). I met 7 more Security Offices at Hurak Training Centre who also failed a couple of times and my workplace colleague also failed 5 times and still couldn't pass and by this time his licence also expired. My employer sent me to this training centre after viewing good reviews (which I think most of them are fake). Dear friends, please take care, don't waste your valuable time and money on Hurak.
