APLH Course Assessment
After finishing your personal licence course, you will take a 60-minute multiple-choice exam. To pass, you must achieve a score of 28 out of 40, which is 70%. Your course will cover all the essential information you need to successfully pass your exam.

Personal Licence Course Certificate
After successfully completing your Personal Licence course, you’ll receive a Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (RQF) certificate, which is valid for life. We are accredited by Highfield Qualifications and Laser Learning Awards, whose certificates are accepted by all councils across the UK.
Applying for a Personal Licence
Applying for your Personal Licence is straightforward and can be simplified into these steps:

- Get a DBS (criminal record) check: Get a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate that is no older than 30 days.

All venues must appoint a designated premises supervisor (DPS) who is responsible for overseeing the proper management of alcohol sales. The DPS must hold a personal licence but is not required to be on the premises at all times.
