The NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety is a regulated, work-based qualification that develops the practical skills stewards need to work safely at stadiums, arenas and live events. You’ll build confidence in crowd management, communication, customer service and incident response so you can operate effectively under supervision. Learning starts with online theory, then moves to on-site assessments in one of London’s major football stadiums, where an assessor observes your practice, reviews your portfolio and signs you off when you meet the standard.
If you’re starting or progressing in stewarding, the NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety provides the foundations to work safely under supervision at stadiums, arenas, and live events.

Complete the online theory
Work through the Level 2 Spectator Safety modules in our mobile-friendly LMS. Track progress, message support if needed, and complete all required lessons.
Schedule your on-site assessments
After you complete the online modules, your assessor will arrange two on-site assessments at real events (e.g., a sports fixture, concert, or festival). These will take place at one of London’s major football stadiums, where you’ll be observed performing live stewarding duties.
On-site assessments
An assessor observes you during live duties such as entry control, crowd movement, radio communication and incident response. You will collect portfolio evidence, including observations, checklists, work products and witness statements.
Assessor sign off and IQA
Your assessor reviews the portfolio, provides any final feedback, and signs you off once you have met all standards. The provider completes internal quality assurance.
Receive your regulated certificate
On approval, you are awarded the NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety certificate. The assessor will notify you as soon as it is issued.
Typical timing: duration depends on your event availability and evidence scheduling. Finishing online theory promptly and booking assessments early will speed things up.
