Types of ECITB CCNSG Courses

The CCNSG offers several types of courses, including:

  1. CCNSG National Course: This is the foundational course providing safety knowledge for workers in the engineering and construction sectors.
  2. CCNSG Renewal Course: Designed for those who already hold a CCNSG Safety Passport and need to renew it to maintain their certification.
  3. Leading a Team Safely (LATS) Course: Aimed at those in supervisory roles, this course focuses on managing safety within teams and extends the basic CCNSG training.

These courses meet industry safety standards and remain updated on best practices.

The CCNSG Safety Passport began as SCATS in Pembrokeshire to streamline contractor inductions for local businesses. Its success led to interest from other regions, prompting the creator to seek national standardisation. The ECITB then adopted and rebranded it as the CCNSG, which is now the standard safety card for the engineering construction industry.
