Although AET is still called PTLLS by some people, it’s no longer offered.
The Level 3 AET Training is a foundation level course suitable for those wishing to undertake teaching roles in the lifelong education and skills sector. Qualification for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) Status
The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) is required to achieve Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) Status.
After completing the aet Level 3 Award in Education and Training or PTLLS qualification, you must go for the Level 4 CET. The AET and CET qualifications will make you eligible to progress to the Level 5 DET qualification.
Once you complete the Level 5 DET, you can apply for QTLS to become a fully qualified teacher.
