Emergency First Aid at Work Refresher (EFAW Annual Refresher) Training Course Assessment

Upon completion of the online course, participants will take an online assessment consisting of 25 multiple-choice questions. A passing score of 70% is required to pass the assessment, which is automatically graded. Participants will immediately know if they have passed the assessment. In case of failure, there is no additional cost for retaking the test as many times as necessary to pass. This assessment is a great way to gauge the understanding of the basic first aid training covered in the course.

Even though it is not a legal requirement to have a fully trained First Aider, a person should be appointed to take charge of the first-aid arrangements.  Depending on the workplace, a risk assessment should be conducted to determine the likelihood of First-Aid emergencies. For high-risk environments, it is recommended to have 1 First Aider for every 50 employees. If there is a change in ergonomics, the risk assessment should be updated.

Under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and Approved Code of Practice (ACOP L74), employers must provide: Adequate & Appropriate Equipment First-Aid Facilities Qualified personnel who can provide First Aid to workers if they get injured or become ill at work. First-Aid regulations apply to all workplaces, including those with five or fewer employees, as well as for the self-employed.
