Refresher Course Overview

A Temporary Works Coordinator in the construction industry oversees and manages temporary structures and systems. A temporary works coordinator refresher course (TWCTC-R) teaches learners the knowledge and skills to understand, plan, and manage temporary work safely and effectively.

Temporary works can be complex on small or large sites, so understanding safety and risk management is important for on-site coordinators. This course will explain the processes of safely conducting temporary works and is for learners who have already completed their CITB Temporary Works Coordinator training in the last five years.

Temporary works are temporary structures or systems that help support the construction, maintenance, or use of a permanent building. They provide stability and safety during construction, making it possible to build the final structure as intended. Temporary works are important for construction projects and require careful planning and engineering.
