FreeThe CITB Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) Mock Test is for those aiming to get the CSCS Green Card. It covers health and safety rules, your job duties, and how to report unsafe actions to stop accidents. The test has 25 multiple choice questions: 20 questions are worth one point each, and 5 questions are worth two points each.
Health and Safety Awareness Mock Test
You get 30 minutes for the test, and you need at least 83% to pass, which means you must score 25 points or more.
This mock test is in the same format as the Health and Safety Awareness Test. You'll see your score at the end, so you can focus on your weak areas and plan your prep. It's the first step towards getting your CSCS Labourer Card.
No previous experience is needed. You can take this mock test to get started and check your understanding of health and safety basics. You should have good English reading and writing skills to grasp the content.
The Health and Safety Awareness course helps you learn how to spot potential dangers on a construction site and keep yourself and others safe.
This course also qualifies you for the CSCS Green Card, which is becoming a must-have for entry-level construction site workers. While it's not legally required, many employers prefer you to have this card. It's kind of like your ticket to get into the construction industry.
1. Sign up for a recognised qualification
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) course is one of the qualifications that make you eligible for the CSCS Green Card. Alternatively, you can also enrol on an RQF Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. Both of these qualifications qualify you for the Green Card. The HSA certificate is valid for 5 years, while the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety remains valid for life.
2. Pass the CITB Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) test
To get the CSCS Green Card, you must pass the CITB Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) test for Operatives. You can review the material by downloading this Test Prep Book, which contains 400 questions and answers written in the same format as the actual CITB test.
We can also help you apply for the CITB test or, in other words, the CSCS test on your behalf. We charge a small fee above the standard rates to book the test.
3. Apply for the CSCS card online or by phone
To apply for the CSCS card online, you can follow this guide on how to apply for the card after passing the test. We've included screenshots to guide you through the process.

You can check out this video with 40 questions and answers to help you study for the CSCS Green Card test. In the video, each question will stop for 20 seconds.
