About NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Roofing Occupations:

The Level 3 Diploma in Roofing Occupations can help you take your construction career to the next level by providing specialised training in roofing techniques. The course includes both theoretical and practical components, allowing you as a learner to gain hands-on experience and understanding of the roofing trade. This programme is ideal for you if you want to pursue a career as a roof slater or tiler and seeking to obtain a CSCS Gold Supervisor Card

The qualification is for experienced roofers who are already familiar with the basics of roofing work.  So before considering this advanced qualification, you must have some experience with installation, inspection, and reclamation techniques. If you're new to the field and don't have the necessary experience, you may start with the Level 2 Diploma in Roofing Occupations or look into internships that can provide practical training. This will help you build a solid foundation of knowledge and skills before advancing to more complex and specialised types of roofing work.

This diploma covers a wide range of roofing activities, including installing pitched and flat roofs, repairing roofs, and working safely at heights. You'll start by learning about safety standards and waste disposal on construction sites. Then, it gets into the nitty-gritty of specific roofing techniques, including how to size, remove, and refit tiles or slates on all kinds of roofs - whether they're vertical, horizontal, or curved. A unit is specifically dedicated to helping you understand the dynamics of management and workload distribution. As a result, you will graduate with a holistic understanding of the roofing industry.

Providing national recognition of your skills and understanding, this diploma leads to further career opportunities and advancement within the roofing sector.

What Are Different Pathways That You Can Opt For?

When you sign up for the Level 3 Diploma in Roof Occupations, you get to choose from three different pathways that are tailored to your interests and experience.
