In the building and civil engineering pathway, you’re required to complete mandatory units in addition to one optional unit, totaling to 15 units. The selection of the optional unit is based on the learner's previous experience and area of interest.
After completing the programme, you will be assessed on your performance, knowledge, and understanding of the National Occupational Standards in their respective areas. A competent and qualified assessor will evaluate you through practical assessments and on-site visits if needed.

Our fast-track assessment option is perfect for experienced and confident supervisors who are looking to achieve their NVQ in the shortest possible time. If a site supervisor has been in the role for at least two years can access our fast-track assessment within four weeks through a discussion-based assessment.
This discussion-based assessment is conducted online via Zoom and involves no written work. To be eligible for the fast-track assessment, supervisors must have been in their role for at least two years and be able to provide video evidence of their work on a live site, including a toolbox talk delivery and a site/work area tour. For those supervisors who have only been in their role for a short period, our standard assessment is the best option. This is assessed primarily through written work, which is submitted.
Certification
After completing the course, the learner will receive a Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Supervision for Building and Civil Engineering. This qualification is widely recognized throughout the UK and is accredited by the CITB.
