The course takes 4 days to complete and includes mandatory self-study as part of the training requirements.
The training takes place in central Norwich. Full venue details and joining instructions will be provided after booking.
Assessment includes 3 multiple-choice theory exams and practical assessments. The three theory exams contain 72, 60 and 20 questions respectively, with a 70% pass mark required for each.
You can enrol on the course from the age of 16. However, you must be at least 18 before applying for an SIA Security Guard licence.
The course is available from Β£169.99. The SIA licence application fee is separate and costs Β£204, which is paid when you apply for your licence.
After gaining the required qualification and obtaining the appropriate SIA licence, you can apply for roles in retail security, static guarding, access control, offices, warehouses, commercial premises and construction sites. The Security Guard licence does not cover door-supervision duties at licensed premises.
