Entry Requirements
Learners can take the Security Guard course from age 16 and need a suitable standard of English to understand the training and complete its assessments. An SIA Security Guard licence cannot be applied for until you are at least 18.
You must also have a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, or another accepted First Aid qualification, before beginning the licence-linked training. It needs to remain valid for at least 12 months from the course start date. If you still need the required First Aid training, it can be added as part of your booking.
