The course takes 4 days to complete and includes mandatory self-study as part of the training requirements.
After gaining the qualification and obtaining the appropriate SIA licence, you can apply for roles including retail security, static guarding, access control, warehouse security, commercial premises and construction-site security. The Security Guard licence does not cover door-supervision duties at licensed premises.
You must hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work qualification or an accepted equivalent before starting the training. If you do not already have one, First Aid can be added to your booking. Any existing qualification must have at least 12 months remaining.
The training is planned to take place in a central Norfolk location. Full venue details and joining instructions will be provided after booking.
The course includes 3 multiple-choice theory exams and practical assessments. The exams contain 72, 60 and 20 questions respectively, with a 70% pass mark required for each.
SIA Security Guard Training in Norfolk starts from £169.99. The separate SIA licence application fee is £204, which you pay when applying for your licence.
Passing the course gives you the required licence-linked qualification, but it does not automatically provide an SIA licence. You must apply separately to the SIA, pay the Β£204 licence fee and complete the required application checks before your licence can be issued.
