BF Training

These Terms and Conditions apply to all learners booking and attending training courses delivered by BF Training. By making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.


1. Course Bookings

1.1 All course bookings are subject to availability.

1.2 A booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received.

1.3 BF Training reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking where course entry requirements have not been met.


2. Payment

2.1 Full payment is required at the time of booking.

2.2 No learner will be permitted to attend any course unless payment has been received in full.

2.3 Course fees include training, assessment and certification where applicable, unless otherwise stated.


3. Course Entry Requirements

Learners must:

  • Meet the minimum age requirements for the qualification.
  • Bring valid photographic identification as required by the awarding organisation.
  • Meet any prerequisite qualifications applicable to the course.
  • Have a suitable level of spoken, written and understood English to participate safely and complete assessments.

Failure to meet these requirements may result in refusal of entry without refund.


4. Attendance

4.1 Attendance for all scheduled training sessions is mandatory.

4.2 Learners arriving late or leaving early may not be permitted to continue training or complete assessments.

4.3 Learners must complete all required guided learning hours before certification can be claimed.


5. Learner Conduct

Learners are expected to:

  • Behave professionally at all times.
  • Treat trainers, staff and fellow learners with courtesy and respect.
  • Follow all instructions given by trainers.
  • Comply with health and safety requirements.

BF Training reserves the right to remove any learner whose behaviour is disruptive, abusive, threatening or inappropriate.

No refund will be issued where removal is due to misconduct.


6. Drugs and Alcohol

Learners must not attend training whilst under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances.

Anyone suspected of being under the influence may be refused entry or removed from the course without refund.


7. Assessments and Certification

Certification will only be issued where learners:

  • Attend all mandatory training.
  • Successfully complete all required practical assessments.
  • Successfully complete all knowledge assessments.
  • Meet the standards required by the awarding organisation.

Assessment decisions are made in accordance with awarding organisation requirements.


8. Identification

Learners must provide acceptable photographic identification where required.

Failure to provide valid ID may prevent course attendance and certification.


9. Cancellation by the Learner

9.1 All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

9.2 Refunds and transfers will only be considered in accordance with BF Training's Cancellation and Refund Policy.

9.3 Failure to attend a booked course without prior notice will be treated as a non-attendance and no refund will be issued.


10. Course Transfers

Transfers to another course may be permitted at the discretion of BF Training and may be subject to an administration fee.


11. Cancellation by BF Training

BF Training reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course due to circumstances including but not limited to:

  • Insufficient learner numbers
  • Trainer illness
  • Venue issues
  • Severe weather
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Where a course is cancelled by BF Training, learners will be offered either:

  • A transfer to an alternative course; or
  • A full refund of course fees paid.

BF Training accepts no liability for travel expenses, accommodation costs, loss of earnings or any other indirect costs incurred by learners.


12. Health and Safety

All learners must comply with health and safety procedures throughout the course.

Failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from training.


13. Personal Property

Learners remain responsible for their own belongings.

BF Training accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property.


14. Photography and Recording

Photography, video recording and audio recording during training sessions are prohibited unless prior permission has been granted by BF Training.


15. Data Protection

BF Training processes personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Learner information may be shared with awarding organisations where necessary for registration, assessment, quality assurance and certification.


16. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

BF Training is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment and does not tolerate discrimination, harassment or victimisation on any protected characteristic.


17. Complaints and Appeals

Complaints and appeals will be managed in accordance with BF Training's Complaints Policy and Appeals Policy.

Copies of these policies are available upon request.


18. Limitation of Liability

BF Training's liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the course, except where liability cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

Nothing within these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.


19. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


20. Acceptance

By booking and attending a course with BF Training, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions. Failure to comply with these Terms may result in removal from the course and/or refusal of certification where permitted by the awarding organisation's requirements.
