How Much Time is Required to Complete This Course?

The SIA Security Guard Training Course takes 4 days to complete. 

SIA Security Guard Course Assessments

During the Security Guard Training Course, you will be evaluated through a practical assessment and a multiple-choice-questions (MCQ) test. 

You can take free SIA Licence Training Mock Exams 2023 to prepare for your assessment.

Cost of a SIA Security Guard Licence

The cost of an SIA Security Guard Licence is £184. 

However, if you apply for more than one SIA licence, you will get a 50% discount. In that case, you will need to pay £184 for the first SIA licence and £92 for any additional licences within the same application.

Remember, this is the licence application fee only. Besides this, you need to pay for the SIA Security Guard Training Course and DBS criminal record check fee.

Requirements for SIA Security Guard Licence

How to Get Your Security Guard Licence 

Below are the steps to get an SIA Security Guard Licence. 

  • First, complete Hurak’s 4-day Security Guard Training Course, which is assessed by multiple choice and practical assessments.
  • Complete the SIA licence application on the SIA website. Pay the £184 licence application fee. 
  • Complete identity checks.
  • Wait for the SIA to complete identity and criminal background checks.
  • Receive your 3-year licence in the post.

Note: If you have a Security Guard Licence, you cannot work in licensed premises that serve alcohol. To get more job opportunities, you can get a Door Supervisor Licence.
