The CSCS Green Card, also known as the green CSCS labourers card serves as a pass into the construction industry, that allows you to work as a house builder, construction worker, or someone cleaning on or delivering to a site, Green Labourer Cards are often required in many sectors today as part of the UK Government’s bid to improve health and safety in the workplace. Although the CSCS Green Card is not a legal requirement, it is still highly recommended due to its benefits; it showcases the employers that you have sufficient health and safety knowledge through training courses, as well as, the skills deemed rudimentary to your duties in a safe manner on construction sites. The Card provides you with an edge and gives the employer another reason to hire you.

The Apprentice card is for those who are currently enrolled in a recognised apprenticeship. The purpose of this card is to serve as a form of identification ratifying the concerned persons ongoing apprenticeship. This card is the preceder of the trainee, experienced, worker and experienced supervisor cards. In order to get this card the Applicant must have either completed the required level 2 NVQ or SVQ qualification or completed a certified apprenticeship along with a city and guilds of London Institute or a CSCS Approved Trailblazer.

The Supervisory Card is required for Supervisory roles and technical occupations. In order to get this card the Applicant must have either completed the required supervisory or technical level 3 or 4 NVQ or SVQ qualification or completed a Occupational Work Supervision of NVQ or SVQ Level 3.

The Senior Managers card assists those who aim to pursue a career in managerial/ senior managerial roles. In order to get this card the Applicant must have either completed the required Construction Management or Technical level 5, 6 or 7 NVQ or SVQ qualification or the applicant may acquire a pre-existing NVQ in construction management of level 4.

The Academically Qualified Card serves to ratify the applicants degrees and diplomas. In order to get this card the Applicant must have completed certain construction related Degrees, HNDs, HNCs, CIOB Certificates and NEBOSH diplomas. The Professionally Qualified Person Card serves as an acknowledgement of the competence of members of the CSCS approved Professional Bodies. In order to get this card the Applicant must show proof of their current membership of the concerned professional body.

The Provisional Card is available for people who want to work through their probationary periods. This card is available for those who haven't registered for any CSCS card before. Thus, before expiry the applicant is expected to either achieve or register for a CSCS approved qualification or an appropriate CSCS Card
