Labourer - Green Labourer / General Operative

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

The CSCS Green Card, also known as the green CSCS labourers card serves as a pass into the construction industry, that allows you to work as a house builder, construction worker, or someone cleaning on or delivering to a site, Green Labourer Cards are often required in many sectors today as part of the UK Government’s bid to improve health and safety in the workplace. Although the CSCS Green Card is not a legal requirement, it is still highly recommended due to its benefits; it showcases the employers that you have sufficient health and safety knowledge through training courses, as well as, the skills deemed rudimentary to your duties in a safe manner on construction sites. The Card provides you with an edge and gives the employer another reason to hire you.

Requirements

    1. Electronic copy of your Qualification Certificate
    2. Pass Letter for the relevant CITB Health and Safety Environment Test
    3. CITB Testing ID
    4. Credit or Debit Card

Validity

    5 Years - A labourers card cannot be renewed and thus in the case of expiry, you must apply for a new card.

    The green labourer card allows individuals to work on construction sites in entry-level positions. These include general labouring, painting and decorating, tiling and traffic management. The pay depends on a number of factors like your experience, the types of jobs you're able to carry out and the company you work for.

Apprentice - Red

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

The Apprentice card is for those who are currently enrolled in a recognised apprenticeship. The purpose of this card is to serve as a form of identification ratifying the concerned persons ongoing apprenticeship. The cardholders are supposed to complete their apprenticeship before the card expires and thus apply for a skilled CSCS card.

Requirements

    1. Evidence of ongoing Apprenticeship
    2. Pass Letter for the relevant CITB Health and Safety Environment Test
    3. Enrolment Evidence Form

Validity

    1. Four Years and six months.
    2. Renewal is not available.

Experienced Technical Supervisor or Manager - Red

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

This card is a temporary card for those who have registered for a Construction Related Technical, Supervisory or Management NVQ or SVQ at level 3 or higher. This card is made available to Supervisors, Managers and technical workers who already have at least one year of work experience.

Requirements

    1. Electronic copy of you Qualification Certificate
    2. Pass Letter for the relevant CITB Health and Safety Environment Test
    3. Proof of registration for the NVQ or SVQ, proof includes
    4. Applicants Name
    5. Full Qualification title of your registered NVQ or SVQ
    6. NVQ or SVQ level
    7. Date of registration (must not be before the last 2 years)

Validity

    Three years - cannot be renewed and thus in the case of expiry, you must apply for a new card.

Experienced Worker - Red

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

The Red Experienced Workers card is awarded for a temporary period of time. The cardholders are required to complete their ongoing Construction related NVQ or SVQ level 2 or higher. This card is made available to workers who already have at least one year of work experience in the last three years.

    2. Pass Letter for the relevant CITB Health and Safety Environment Test
    3. Proof of registration for the NVQ or SVQ, proof includes
    4. Applicants Name
    5. Full Qualification title of your registered NVQ or SVQ
    6. NVQ or SVQ level
    7. Date of registration (must not be before the last 2 years)

Validity

    One year - cannot be renewed and thus in the case of expiry, you must apply for a new card.

Trainee Card - Red

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

The Red Trainee card is awarded for a temporary period of time. The cardholders are required to complete their ongoing Construction related Qualification, qualifications from the ranges of vocational to academic to professional are accepted. This card serves as a form of identification ratifying the concerned persons ongoing qualification.

Requirements

    1. Electronic copy of you Qualification Certificate
    2. Pass Letter for the relevant CITB Health and Safety Environment Test
    3. Proof of registration for the required Qualifications. The applicant must submit either of the following forms of proofs obtained from the concerned University or qauilifiaction’s awarding body
    4. Applicants Name
    5. Full Qualification title of your registered qualification
    6. Date of registration
    7. Vocational Qualifications must be obtained within the last 2 years
    8. Academic Qualifications must be obtained within the last 5 years

Validity

    1. Five Years and six months
    2. Renewal is not available.

Skilled Worker - Blue

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

This card is the preceder of the trainee, experienced, worker and experienced supervisor cards. In order to get this card the Applicant must have either completed the required level 2 NVQ or SVQ qualification or completed a certified apprenticeship along with a city and guilds of London Institute or a CSCS Approved Trailblazer.

    2. Pass Letter for the relevant CITB Health and Safety Environment Test
    3. Proof of registration for the required Qualifications.

Validity

    5 Years

Advanced Craft - Gold

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

In order to get this card the Applicant must have either completed the required level 3 NVQ or SVQ qualification or completed a certified apprenticeship along with a city and guilds of London Institute or a CSCS Approved Trailblazer.

Validity

Supervisory - Gold

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

The Supervisory Card is required for Supervisory roles and technical occupations. In order to get this card the Applicant must have either completed the required supervisory or technical level 3 or 4 NVQ or SVQ qualification or completed a Occupational Work Supervision of NVQ or SVQ Level 3.

Senior Manager - Black

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

The Senior Managers card assists those who aim to pursue a career in managerial/ senior managerial roles. In order to get this card the Applicant must have either completed the required Construction Management or Technical level 5, 6 or 7 NVQ or SVQ qualification or the applicant may acquire a pre-existing NVQ in construction management of level 4.

Academically Qualified Person - White

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

The Academically Qualified Card serves to ratify the applicants degrees and diplomas. In order to get this card the Applicant must have completed certain construction related Degrees, HNDs, HNCs, CIOB Certificates and NEBOSH diplomas. Professionally Qualified Person - White

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

The Professionally Qualified Person Card serves as an acknowledgement of the competence of members of the CSCS approved Professional Bodies. In order to get this card the Applicant must show proof of their current membership of the concerned professional body.

Requirements

    1. Electronic copy of you Qualification Certificate
    2. Pass Letter for the relevant CITB Health and Safety Environment Test
    3. Proof of Professional body Membership.

a. A membership certificate

b. A membership card

c. A letter or email confirming membership of the current year

d. Proof of payment of membership of the current year.

Validity

    The card must be renewed annually

Provisional Temporary - Red

You will need to complete the Operatives Test to apply for this card.

The Provisional Card is available for people who want to work through their probationary periods. This card is available for those who haven't registered for any CSCS card before. Thus, before expiry the applicant is expected to either achieve or register for a CSCS approved qualification or an appropriate CSCS Card

Validity

    1. Six months
    2. Renewal is not available.
