Do you need a First Aid Certificate in order to register for this SIA Upskilling course?
For Door Supervision or Security Officer training, you must demonstrate possession of a valid and up-to-date First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate that aligns with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The certificate should remain valid for at least 12 months from the start of the security course. If you do not have a First Aid certificate, Global College offers First Aid training included in the Premium Plan of the Top-Up Door Supervisor course.

Pre Requisites
Before you are able to begin your Door Supervisor Top Up Course you must complete the ACT Awareness and ACT Security e-learning courses online.
Prerequisites for the SIA Door Supervisor Top-Up Course
- Age of 18 or above
- Clean criminal record
- Possession of an SIA-recognized qualification
- Valid passport or current UK Driving Licence
- HSE-compliant Emergency First Aid/First Aid at Work certificate
- Two proofs of address, e.g., utility bills or distinct bank statements
Important Note
Please ensure that you book this course well in advance of your SIA Licence expiry date to ensure that you complete the course, gain your certificate and have enough time to apply for your SIA licence renewal. We recommend attending the course minimum of 6-8 weeks before your current SIA Licence expires.
