The SIA Door Supervisor Top-Up Training in Birmingham is a 2-day course and is designed for individuals who have already completed the basic Door Supervisor training and wish to renew their SIA Door Supervisor licence.
SIA has made it mandatory for Door Supervisor licence holders to complete the 2-day SIA Top-up Door Supervisor training before they can renew their licence.
In addition, it is SIA requirement that all door supervisors are trained in first aid, therefore, all delegates will need to be qualified as a minimum in emergency first at work aid before commencing the Door Supervisor Top Up course.
SIA Door Supervisor Assessments
Candidates will be required to sit the following exams:
Exam: Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry
Pass mark: 7/10 (70%)
Time allowed: 20 minutes
Exam: Principles of Using Equipment as a Door Supervisor in the Private Security Industry
Pass mark: 4/5 (70%)
Time allowed: 10 minutes
Exam: Application of physical intervention skills in the private security industry
Pass mark: 24/30 (80%)
Time allowed: 45 minutes
Practical Assessments: Participants will also be evaluated on their ability to handle various security scenarios, including conflict resolution and physical intervention techniques.

Important Requirements to Enrol for the Course

Previous Qualification: Completion of the SIA Level 2 Door Supervisor course (or equivalent) is a prerequisite.
Age: Participants must be at least 18 years old.
Criminal Record Check: A criminal record check may be required to obtain the SIA license upon course completion.
Right to Work: Participants should have the legal right to work in the country where they intend to apply for an SIA license.
Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work: Successful completion of the Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work course is mandatory.
