First Aid requirement for Door Supervisor Top Up training
Before attending the Door Supervisor Top Up training course, you must have a valid Emergency First Aid qualification. If you do not have a valid First Aid qualification, you can book the Emergency First Aid training with the Top-Up course as a package.
Course Duration
The SIA Top Up Door Supervisor course typically lasts for 2 days, with a total of 12.5 hours of training. Participants are required to attend both days to complete the course successfully.
Assessment
At the end of the course, participants will need to complete both a multiple-choice examination and a practical assessment to demonstrate their understanding of the course content and their ability to apply the skills learned.
The multiple-choice examination covers the theoretical aspects of the course, such as counter-terrorism awareness, safeguarding vulnerable people, and legislation updates. A minimum pass rate of 70% is required to successfully complete this part of the assessment.
The practical assessment focuses on showcasing the participant's physical intervention skills and first aid abilities. Participants will be evaluated by the course instructor based on their performance during practical exercises, ensuring they can safely and effectively handle conflicts and administer basic first aid in real-life situations.
